It was raining this time, but we were there.

No paint, just string.

Strands of string intertwining to represent the grip—the hold that harassers and abusers can exert over their victims.

A grip that is sometimes invisible, yet very real.

We also provided a space for people to share their stories anonymously.
And then, people stopped.

They looked. They asked questions. They listened. Some shared their experiences.

And above all, they offered their support.

Amidst the rain, these encounters created something precious: connection, attentive listening, and solidarity.

Because this initiative isn't just about what traps us.
It is also about what helps us break free.

Someone who listens. Words finally spoken aloud. A helping hand extended. A story shared that shows another person they are not alone.

The strings represented that controlling grip.
But around them, we saw real connections forming.

And perhaps that is what we will remember most about the day.
Silence isolates. Speaking out brings us closer. Listening offers support. Solidarity can make a difference.
